From Cheryl Farr:
Because possibly heavy rain is forecast to start overnight tonight, we need:
- To cover 140′ x (8′ or 10′) tent side sections, with tarps.
- Plus a 40′ x 20′ tarp for bridging two tents.
The crossley tent is coming on Friday afternoon:
- Another 60′ x (8′ or 10′) tarp for this one.
- Lots of tie wraps to secure to the sides within the tent.
- The flooring should also require tarping with at least 3 – 20′ x 10′ tarps, and 2 10′ x 10′ tarps.
Extra tarps over the tents to prevent leaking of water between the tents will be needed, with tent pegs and ropes to secure it down.
We will need volunteers out TONIGHT to bring the tarps and help get this set up as soon as possible before the rain starts.
If we don’t, we will have a real mess to contend with on Friday. We do have 2 – 10x 20 tents already up this morning to keep our place behind the trailers.
Big Thanks in advance. Please contact me as required.

Rowing Is Easy…What’s All The Fuss?
REMINDER…After-Schoolboy get together
From Coach Pat:
Hi Everyone,
I have sent out an e-mail outlining arrival and departure times for Friday.
No athlete is allowed to stay on the island past departure time. ( give or take 5-10 minutes )
All athletes must show up on time ( give or take 5-10 minutes ) and leave when
told to leave. Please set up driving arrangements in order to help us acheive this goal. Why ?
Henley island can be a draining experience. It is hot, full of distractions and emotionally
draining. we need our athletes to be completely focused on upcoming races.
Once finished we need our athletes to get out of the weather conditions and away from thedistractions. They need to rest .
This is a very important part of preparations for races. A sound focus is an essential part of racing.
Good rest from one day to the next can be very helpful and can lead to success. Here is the routine from arrival to departure.
